The series tells the story of a robot cat named Doraemon who comes from the 22nd century to help a clumsy fourth-grade boy named Nobita. Doraemon’s stories are typically short, easy to understand, witty, and offer an optimistic view of the future and the advancement of science and technology. Doraemon has won numerous manga awards in Japan, and the character was named one of Asia’s top 22 figures by Time Asia magazine.
