Doraemon: Nobita no Uchū Kaitakushi (ドラえもん のび太の宇宙開拓史, Doraemon: Nobita’s Space Exploration History), also known internationally as Doraemon: The Record of Nobita’s Spaceblazer, is a 1981 science fiction anime film directed by Nishimaki Hideo, and part of the popular Doraemon manga and anime series. This is the second feature film in the second production phase of the Doraemon anime series, following Nobita no Kyōryū (Nobita’s Dinosaur).

Before the film’s release, the entire story was adapted into a manga by the original creator Fujiko F. Fujio, which was serialized in CoroCoro Comic, published by Shogakukan, from September 1980 to February 1981. It was later compiled into a tankōbon volume, becoming the second installment of the long-form Doraemon manga series.

The film begins with Nobita’s strange dream about a real-life escape in space by a boy named Roppu and his companion Chammy. A technical accident connects Roppu’s spaceship to the floor of Nobita’s room via an interdimensional portal. Through this door, Nobita and Doraemon embark on a journey to Roppu’s home planet, Koyakoya, where they help liberate its inhabitants from their oppressors.
